The work

Cut, layered, and fired.

A selection from the studio — eighty-one new pieces photographed in August 2026, alongside earlier favorites. Each piece is one of one — the design is planned, the finish is negotiated with the heat. Twelve of these are series: sets built around a single idea and kept together here, the way they were made.

Process

The kiln decides the rest.

Sheet glass is cut, layered, and set — with metallic inclusions, sliced murrine cane, cast figures, crushed frit — then taken up to heat and brought slowly back down. Metal bubbles and mottles, blues deepen and drift, and an edge that went in square comes out softened.

That is why each piece is one of one. Small variations are not flaws — they are the record of how the heat moved.

The maker

About Lynn

Lynn Paringer makes fused glass in Alameda, California, drawing on the shifting color and movement of the Bay. After a career teaching economics, she turned a long-running glass practice into Fleur de Lynn. Her pieces layer oceanic color, marine forms, and metallic inclusions — then leave room for the kiln to add the final surprise.

Lynn taught economics at California State University, East Bay, and has made glass art for more than a decade. Every piece is made by hand on the island of Alameda.

In person

Markets

Market dates for the coming season are being planned. Nothing is confirmed yet, so nothing is listed here. When dates are set they will appear in this section with the venue, the hours, and what will be on the table.

Opening soon

The shop opens November 2026.

Pieces are not for sale on this site yet. The online shop opens in November 2026 with Alameda pickup first, and a limited shipping pilot planned after that.

Until then, the studio is open to conversation. If you have seen something here you would like to know more about, or you run a shop, gallery, or market and would like to talk, get in touch.

Getting in touch

A contact address and an email list for new firings and market dates will open with the shop. This site collects nothing and sends nothing — there is no form here on purpose.
